Static displays at the British Grand Prix are usually abysmal and this year was no exception to the rule.
For the past couple of years the Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG) have had a brilliant display of vehicles on show. Unfortunately, this year they were notable by their absence.
Northamptonshire Police were still on hand, however, with a number of vehicles on site.
There was a very visible armed presence at the entrance gates to Silverstone this year and one of the contingent was this BMW X5 ARV (Armed Response Vehicle) demonstrator that is currently on trial with the force.

NOTE ON GROUPS
Usually I'd post this to more groups but, unfortunately, the ridiculous new limit on the number of groups that a picture can be added to prevents this.
If any group admins would like the picture in their particular group I'm afraid you'll either have to invite it or remove the posting limit for your chosen group.
If you don't know about the new group posting limits that were introduced by the back door a few months ago and would like to change your group back to the way it used to be, here is the link on how to do it:--
