Annapurna has the highest fatality ratio of any of the 8000 m peaks, at 38% (38% of climbers die on the mountain), although as per statictics since 1970, Kanchenjunga has the highest fatality ratio. The climb up the south face of Annapurna is known as the most difficult climb in mountaineering!
