Ladakh. Below lies the Indus River as it cuts a path through the moraine of Ladakh, flowing north west (left) towards the Karakorams in Pakistan. Facing East is Tibet. Behind me is Hemis National Park and I'm standing on the outer fringes. Hemis is famous for being the habitat of the snow leopard. Altitude here is approximately 12,000 ft.
