Fluke Dive
Off NOAA Stellwagen Bank, Massachusetts.
It was a hot day in Boston as we sailed out of the Harbor in the catamaran, but the further we left port, the colder it became. Took us two hours and a really frigid ride to reach Stellwagen Bank where we were greeted by a large pod of fairly active whales. They weren't feeding extensively, hence very few gulls to keep watch on our behalf. The pod was that of a group of Humpbacks and we spent about 30 minutes in that location.
