Mt. Gya, 6794 meters and unconquered
Located in the southern tip of Tso Moriri in the region bordering Ladakh to the north-west, Tibet to the east and Spiti in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh to the south, the mountain is one of the tough climbing challenges, further compounded by the inability of many climbing expeditions to identify the main summit from up close. Expeditions have mistakenly climbed Gyasumpa (6470 m) and Gya North (6520 m) but the main peak was never conquered.
