Barred Jungle Owlet

Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand, India.

 

This bird is tiny, no larger than a red vented bulbul, about 5-6 inches in height! The bulbuls were flapping angrily around this dude as it seems he was close to their nest, but he had no reaction. Stared at me a couple of times and then averted his eyes to look at other more important stuff!
