Brown Headed Barbet

Corbett National Park.

 

This bird is supposedly very common in the Corbett area and around the hills of Uttarakhand but this is the first time in 5 visits to the area that I saw one. The green plumage is striking and it is a large-ish bird, about the size of a common mynah.
