60 pt. Bradley Ultra Initials
ATF foundry matrices borrowed from Val Lucas, previously borrowed from the International Printing Museum in California. The casting process looks OK, however, due to the fine line detail combined with broad open printing surfaces of this large typeface, at least 90% of the casts were unfortunately rejected later by the QC department, resulting in unscheduled overtime and a Typecaster's Union grievance. Careful control of the type metal alloy, temperature and pump settings were required, we also completed the cast on a 72 pt. body.
