honey wheat

i've worked this recipe a lot and sometimes use sorghum instead of honey

it's become my morning ritual after my cup of coffee

enjoy!

proof 2 1/4 tsp yeast in 1 1/2 cup warm water and sugar only until slightly bubbly

add 2tbs olive oil and swirl around some honey 8 times (teehee i forget to measure properly)

add 1 cup of wheat flour w/ 2 cups of ap flour (sifted)

choose "dough" setting of breadmaker

it will mix and then rise all taking about 2 hours

 

then i handle dough as little as possible, using a pizza cutter...divide dough in half

 

half goes in a greased bread pan

other half divide up into rolls or as i did above, subrolls

 

let rise 2nd time for about 45 mins

 

bake on 325 for 15-20 mins
