Wood coat of arms

Detail from the tomb of Sir Henry Wood (d. 1671), who was treasurer to Queen Henrietta Maria, the wife of King Charles I, during her exile in France.

(Possibly an example of "canting arms", since a wild man was also known as a "woodwose"?)

Church of St Mary of the Assumption, Ufford, Suffolk.
