"From the East and West" (detail)
A way-station on the "Via Beata", a project set up in 2009 to establish a trail of Christian artworks from Lowestoft in the east of England to St David's in the west of Wales.
The artwork is based on a design by Cecily Marshall of Earith, partly inspired by Jacob's Ladder. The figures were created largely by people from local villages and by youngsters from "Intents" youth camp, and the rest of the artwork was completed by a team from the "Turn Around" programme at Fincham's Farm, Norfolk.
North porch, St Mary's church, Bluntisham, Cambridgeshire.
