Six Poor Travellers House

Sixteenth-century charity house founded by the Elizabethan MP Richard Watts to provide board and lodging for six poor travellers, a function it performed up until World War II. It provided the setting for Charles Dickens' 1854 Christmas story The Seven Poor Travellers.
