The Great White Horse Hotel
Famed as the setting for a comic episode in Charles Dickens' Pickwick Papers; past guests also include King George II and Lord Nelson. Possibly because of the Dickens connection, a replica of the building was built to represent Britain at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair.
The building closed as a hotel in 2008; its rooms and corridors have now featured as the atmospheric location for the 2021 portmanteau ghost movie "The Haunted Hotel".
Corner of Tavern Street and Northgate Street, Ipswich, Suffolk.
