Buddhist demon

Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology, Cambridge.

According to a label, the elaborate doorway in the upstairs gallery was originally a screen that was designed by Inigo Jones for Winchester Cathedral. In the 19th century, when the "classical" style fell out of favour, the screen was dismantled and lay in pieces in the cathedral's crypt, until it was salvaged and reassembled in the museum.
