37023 is being restored at Blaenavon, despite the slightly ropey exterior videos on YouTube show the overhauled power being reinstalled last year. 37023 was an Eastern Region machine most its life and was Stratford's pet, being the first class 37 to get painted into Mainline blue in the mid 90s. There was talk of it being restored as 37081 hence the large logo blue scheme which 37023 never carried in BR service.
