Padarn Railway brakevan
One system to use narrow gauge brakevans intensively was the 4' gauge slate carrying Padarn Railway. The vans were actually 2' nominal gauge and were piggy backed on transporters. After closure in 1961/69, at least two survive. One in the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, Tywyn and one seen here in the National Slate Museum, Llanberis, which I photographed 30th July 2014.
