c. 1470 Ferrera, Italy, recto, 104x72, justification 94x60, 12 lines ruled and written in brown ink in a gothic bookhand. Rubrics in red, sentential capitals touched in yellow. Two 2 line initials, gold on blue gound and blue on red ground, with fleuronne penwork extending from the grounds along the margins from top to bottom.

 

From a dimunitive Book of Hours likely made for a woman.

 

Text is from the Hours of The Vigin at None. The capital I opens the capitulum Ecclesiastices 24) "In plateis sicut cinnamomum" (I gave an odor as cinnamon...), followed by versicles and responses.
