OCD Chaos
Yesterday Andy Rouse and I had a day out in Manchester, primarily to take a walk along the drained section of the Rochdale Canal; Reference Andy Rouse’s ‘On Yer Bike’ image posted yesterday. After the walk and a cup of coffee we stumbled across two rows of these ‘Mobike dockless cycles’; they use a scheme similar to the Boris Bikes of London, Liverpool and many other major cities across the UK and possibly throughout the world. The difference with these bikes is that you can leave the bike anywhere inside the City boundary and they can be located by the use of GPS; so, if you want to hire a bike, using an app on your smart phone, (surprise, surprise), you can check the location of the nearest bike to you and just go and collect it. A £49 deposit must be paid up front; but that is a story for another day as I digress from the OCD image.
Anyone who knows of Andy will know that he suffers very badly from OCD, Symmetry, Numbers, Spread sheets etc. the list goes on and on. The row of Mobikes next to this row were all perfectly aligned, wheels pointing in the same direction, an even number etc. etc., so after a few adjustments Andy took a picture and posted it on Flickr yesterday. I suggested he photograph this set of bikes to help him get over his OCD, (at least there are six bikes), and even gave him the title but he refused point blank; so I took it and here it is. I must admit I prefer the OCD version.
I do hope you appreciate the sentiment in this posting Andy but everyone knows what you are like, and that you wouldn’t go near these bikes with a barge pole….lol.
