As part of OpSail 2102 in Norfolk, Virginia, the schooner Virginia flies an American flag from 1812, similar to the flag that flew over Fort McHenry in Baltimore, during the war of 1812, the flag that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the words of the Star Spangled Banner, which became the National Anthem of the United States of America. The men on the left are standing in the rigging of the tall ship "Gloria," from the nation of Columbia, part of OpSail 2012.
