Reducing Malnutrition in Colombia's Schools

In Barranquilla, a girl enjoys a healthy lunch at her school cafeteria. The school lunch program is a partnership between the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative (CGSGI) and the Pies Descalzo's nutrition program that enables 4,000 primary school students to receive two meals a day for 180 days a year. The program aims to reduce malnutrition from 32 percent to 22 percent.
