4 generations

This was when Otis got to meet his great-grandparents on my side (he has a wonderful and regular relationship with his maternal great-grandmother). We had to talk through the glass window because we had all had a cold and my grandmother was in the late stages of lung cancer. Not exactly the meeting we had hoped for, but hours of excellent conversation and some really beautiful bonding all the same. This was our one shot for Otis and Mimi to meet - she died at, home with her kids and her husband, a couple months later - and I am so grateful that they had this opportunity. It was on Mimi's bucket list, so I'm pretty sure she felt the same way too.
