50050 was scrambled on Wednesday to rescue 37116 which had failed at Wick. The 37 was dragged back to Inverness in the consist of the test train and dumped at the TMD. Working as 0Z11 Nottingham Eastcroft to Inverness and stopping overnight at Perth Fearless traversed the Highland Mainline to collect the defective 37. Stopping overnight again last night at Newcastle the train resumed its journey as 0z10 10:10 Newcastle to Nottingham Eastcroft.
In the past i suspect having been dragged back to Inverness TMD the local fitters would have repaired it and it would have worked back in the consist of another service, but I'm guessing neither the workforce at Inverness are permitted to work on the Colas loco and Colas fitters would not be permitted to work on Inverness depot, such is the fragmented nature of the rail network.
