The Euston bound sleeper is assembled at platform 19 of Edinburgh Waverley. The 73 has come from Aberdeen and the 67 Inverness.
90049 had moved off the stabling point on the far side of the station to here, platform 20. Then 739xx arrived on 1B16 at around 00:36 from Aberdeen. The loco was released presumably off to Craigentinny and 90049 moved onto the (opposite) Glasgow end of the train. We then moved to photograph the other arrived sleeper on 11 hauled by Biffa. 73971 then arrived from Fort William on 1B01 at 01:10, ran down platform
20 past the train with 90049 on and backed onto the train to connect and ran off towards EC. 67004 then arrived from Inverness on 1M16 and repeated 73971s move. The 14-16 coaches assembled I left for bed, not waiting for the 90s departure.
