Healing Wall consists of a grid of pharmacy signs placed. Pinsky appropriates the neon crosses inspired by Minimalism and Optic Art and returns them into the sphere of art.The green cross bears a promise, the possibility of a 'betterbeing', but this promise of the product/service bears a stronger relationship with the aesthetic qualities of the object than its ability to perform. The green crosses are placed in the prolongation of their vertical and horizontal axes forming a Cartesian grid. He thus suggests a rational explanation of the recovery phenomenon, which is often due to our faith in medicine and its remedies, the placebo effect being the true cure to our ills. Affirming the principle that "too much of a good thing can be bad for you", Healing Wall’s disorientating array of animations casts a green glow across the faces of its uneasy pilgrims.
