Rated G - Contains no sex, language, nudity or violence, and nothing that would offend parents whose young children view the film.
Rated PG - Parents are urged to use 'parental guidance'. May contain some material that is unsuitable for younger children.
Rated PG-13 - Parental guidance is strongly suggested for children age 13 and under. Some material may be inappropriate for pre-teens.
Rated R - Contains some adult material; adult themes, adult activities, hand language, intense and persistent violence, sexually-oriented materials, drug abuse or other elements. Children under 17 years of age are not allowed to attend R rated movies, unaccompanied by an adult.
Rated NC-17 - Children 17 years old and younger are not permitted. Some parents consider material patently too adult for children.
