flute milling experiment

A buddy of mine was asking if I had any thoughts about how to mill flutes and have the cut start or stop with a nice tapered end. I had the idea of rigging up some kind of cam to ramp the cutter into and/or out of the cut. I just did a little experiment using a tilt table as my cam. It works!!!
