As we break down the place where we've lived for 14 years, room by room, I thought I'd like to capture the process. What you'll see here isn't art, far from it, but it is a story of sorts.
Here is our kitchen. Those piles of stuff on the table aren't accidental piles. We don't really have a staging area in here, so we end up sorting and packing from imperfect places. I keep reminding myself that once the stuff is packed and out, the hardest part will be over. The apartment we're leaving is less than 350 square feet. The house to which we're moving is 750 square feet, and we're also leasing garage space from our new landlord, so we'll have plenty of storage space. The mind boggles, it really does.
