Week 25 - An Energetic Week
This week has been energetic for not only my 2 children, but for me also. I was asked to photograph the Infants Sports Day - which I was honored to do. The only problem was I needed to use the broken kit lens :-( I swiftly learnt that I needed to be quite deft with focussing as they were running at me :-) I did move around and got some lovely shots especially when I was behind the finishing line. When I looked through them afterwards, I did shed a small tear as all of the kids looked so happy regardless of whether they won or not.
The other Sports Day was held at the Sheffield EIS and it was a nightmare to photograph as the lighting was just awful! Had to have the ISO up at 1600 to get anything even close to reasonable and even then the shots were poor. The spectators part was quite a way from the track so flash was no use - I couldn't think of any other way to capture any action shots without really boosting the ISO. (Any ideas would be gratefully received as it's possible it'll be there again next year).
Anyway, both children did really well and yet again we are proud parents this week - future Olympians I think!
