Week 5 - Nearly 40yrs old? Never!
We've had such a fab day today! It started snowing yesterday and we woke to 4 inches this morning. Cool - I love the snow. Added to all this excitement, it was also Joseph's 8th birthday today. Unfortunately, he got a new scooter as his present from us - so that was ridden around the house. We togged up and headed down the road to the best hill in Sheffield for sledging - Meersbrook Park! The weather was glorious - not cold at all and the sun was out and shining down on us. The park was packed with people having fun throwing themselves down the hill on all sorts of "equipment". The best mode of travel down the hill that we saw was the man in the canoe - he was fast, had absolutely no steering and had to wipeout in order to stop - cool!
Once the kids had had a few goes and then got fed up having to walk back up the hill, Nick decided to take over (I knew it wouldn't take him long!). Initially, he was a bit cautious and travelled sitting upright, but it wasn't long before he was throwing himself head 1st straight at me. Fortunately, I did manage to dodge him every time otherwise if my camera had gone in the snow, I would have been none too happy. As it was, I haven't laughed so much in a long time ;-)
