December 30th - Penultimate

Well the time has nearly arrived - just 1 more shot to go and the 365 will be over! Hurrah, I will shout. It has been a steep learning curve not only photographically but personally - yes, I am able to commit and stick with something even in adverse conditions ( I was in bed ill for 3 days I think, but yet still managed to get a shot for those days - they weren't any good like, but I still got my shot!).

I have found the whole process to have been really therapeutic. I have always tried to add a little description everyday, which has turned more into a diary entry. I had been wondering about starting a blog in 2012, but I might not start that straight away - think I need a break for a bit!

Photographically, I have become a bit more of a fan of still life - this time last year, I hated it! I now like to play around with lighting whereas previously, I never really bothered about lighting. I have also learnt that I could do with buying a ton more gear to get better shots - an off camera flash would be a good start and a new tripod would be another, but with things the way they are, I shall be waiting a while longer for those!

I have also learnt about resilience. If at first you don't succeed, leave it a bit and then come back to it or rely on your Flickr friends to give you a bit of encouragement and guidance with the specific things you are struggling with!

Next year I am looking forward to hopefully producing more quality than the quantity, but we'll see how that pans out!

Overall, I have enjoyed the experience and feel that my photography has generally improved. I am planning on making a book of the shots (can't decide whether to just get them all printed out or put them all into a photobook. Probably the first due to cost at the moment)and hope to repeat the process in a few years time so I can compare.

Thank you for reading/looking at my shot(s)/commenting on my pictures. Happy 2012 to you!
