December 29th - My mind's eye
I have to say I'm quite pleased with this shot on many levels. Firstly, I actually shot in black and white rather than in colour and then converting. I have never done this before and it was quite an experience - especially trying to get the whites white and the blacks black.
Secondly, I wanted to do a gerbera shot with a difference. I love gerberas - possibly my most favourite flower. They are very photogenic and have really been done to death, so I wanted to try something slightly different. I do like black and white/monochrome, so decided to combine the 2.
Thirdly, this was actually the shot that I had in my mind's eye, so to actually make it reality was also a first ;-)
