November 13th - Pasta anyone?
Had a weird day today. Whilst down at my parents, we went to see my Auntie's new puppy Maisie. What a cutie! She's a black and white cocker spaniel and really really tiny. When we arrived, I had a cuddle with her for about 5mins and then put her down and she looked like she was going to wee so my Uncle scooped her up and put her outside. Their other dog, Bernie (a golden retriever) was in the garden. Anyway, she had her wee and we were then watching them play. Then, we are not quite sure what happened but Bernie appeared to tread on Maisie (certain he was just playing) and she let out a real yelp. Anyway, my Uncle went and scooped her up and we saw her nose was bleeding. My auntie was holding her by this time and her nose was mopped up. She was so distressed though, she was just crying and crying. My Auntie touched her near her eye and she really yelped out again. So, we looked and her eye looked a bit odd. She was whisked off to the vets and the latest I've heard is that she's had an anaesthetic so the vet could examine the area and they think it's just soft tissue damage and her eye SHOULD be OK. We're all keeping our fingers crssed for her. My Auntie has only had her 5 days and she is spending tonight at the vets - she must be so scared, poor little thing.
All this drama meant, I didn't get a picture of her and was late leaving so had to find something here when I got back. Not the best I know, but I was tired and emotional!
