October 1st - The Ace of Spades
It's been a weird old day today. Started with the rugby - hurrah for England and disappointment for Tonga and Scotland. England you really need to up your game unless France play how they did today.
Then, we took the kids roller skating as Aimee was going to a party - she was the only one out of the party kids that could skate, so the others spent most of the party time in the cafe!
I've had a bad neck since Thursday (maybe something to do with lying on the damp ground on Wednesday photographing fungi?!) and am still in pain. I'm self treating with exercise which does free it up a bit eventually, but 1st thing in the morning is agony. Ibuprofen and heat helping that stage of things.
It got to 9 30pm and still hadn't got any inspiration for a shot. Ideas are running thin now that I'm so far into my 365 - I'm sure I've photographed everything of any interest in my house! I took this shot messing about with the lighting (just a small torch) to try and get a strong contrast. I then increased the contrast levels in DPP (I know how to do that!) I like how you can see the texture of the cards.
