September 1st - A birthday cake
Saturday is Aimee's 5th birthday. For the first time ever, I have made the cake myself. Aimee wanted a butterfly cake - "like a small bun butterfly cake but big"! Nick and I have spent the evening piping shocking pink icing onto the chocolate cake I made in the slo cooker earlier. It's covered with M&M's to give it a bit more colour and there are M&M's hidden in the middle. The body of the butterfly is a Flake with piped on eyes and big smiley mouth. I am quite pleased with my first ever effort - I'm sure she will love it!
