August 25th - Autumn already?!

We went for a walk through the woods near Mum and Dad's today. The kids were picking up acorns off the floor. Is it turning into Autumn already? We noticed yesterday that there were leaves changing colour and coming off the trees - It is still Summer isn't it?!
