June 14th - Great white egret

Nick and I managed to spend a few childfree hours together today - hurrah! It was a beautiful day and we visited Carr Vale Nature Reserve and Linacre Reservoir. We were extremely lucky to see this gorgeous great white egret (the only in the county apparently!) and even luckier that he took off on a short flight whilst we were there. An extremely satisfying day!
