Easter Day and my Mum's birthday today - Happy birthday Mum!
We had a busy day today. This morning was the Sheffield Egg Run attended by approximately 2000 motorbikes in aid of the Children's Hospital. Had a fantastic time but was gutted by a shot I missed. Sierra Yankee99(police helicopter) was overhead throughout. Once all the bikes had arrived, we walked through Weston Park looking at them all. Sierra Yankee decided to do a final low sweep over Weston Park and was coming at us between 2 trees, so was perfectly framed. It was like something out of "Airwolf" - I was gutted that I didn't react quick enough with the camera to capture it. Oh well, maybe next year!
This afternoon we went to Wentworth Castle to do their Easter Egg hunt - as if the kids hadn't had enough! It was a fab hunt and I managed to get about 20mins on my own with my camera and the beautiful flowers there. This bee caught my eye as he was so busy and so laden with pollen. I'm quite pleased with how the shot came out - I could have spent ages there! (No idea on the flower though - I am so rubbish at identifying flowers!)
