Proud mother and calf
Just a few of the shots I took on Christmas day 2010. We always head up to Graves Park to say "Happy Christmas" to the animals and feed the birds on Christmas day. The snow and ice were still hanging around, so it was cold but lovely.
Not too sure when this beautiful little calf was born, but it looked very new when we arrived and Mummy was very protective. I'm hoping it was OK as the poor little thing was shivering. I know Highland cattle are "built" to survive the cold but it just looked so cold, poor thing!
