Guanajuato Series 2009 #5 , by Steven Erra
I'm a long time member of the Seeing With Photography Collective, based in New York City, and am posting some of my individual images here at Flickr. Our group has people totally blind, visually impaired and "normally" sighted. I'm in the visually impaired-legally blind category, and still retain a little eyesight, but not much.
All of the images in this set are light paintings, made in the dark with an open shutter on bulb setting,and are painted with a flashlight- like a painter brings out shapes with a brush.These may be my last use of...gasp! -Film.. hope to get a new high quality digital camera soon. When I exposed these images I didn't quite know what I had until weeks later.
