idea for new marvel character

some unknown individual is running around in full asgard armor and wielding a magic scythe. he shows up on avenger missions and gets the job done when the avengers end up not following orders. of course this pisses off captain America who would rather get the job done his way.

 

im not good at writing back stories so I will cut to the final part of the mini-series where it turns out it was nick fury all along. the scythe was in shield's custody since the end of ww2. its a lot like thor's hammer. only instead of being a worthy hero you just have to be willing to kill to gain its power. after a few years around thor nick fury picked up how to translate the jibberish on the scythe and it ended up taking him over. giving him a set of asgardian armor and a few power ups that go along with having a magic weapon. im still not sure about what to call him or the scythe or what kind of powers it would give him. I know for sure that I don't want it to be fire related. maybe it cuts the air and makes a sonic boom? and instead of flight he can teleport? the rest would be the usual powers you get from using thor's hammer. the only way to use the scythe is to kill its last master. when the weapon was made it was feared to be too powerful and was cast out into space. it ends up on earth where nick becomes the first person to wield it.

 

then nick fury consumed by his new powers tries to disband both shield and the avengers and decides its up to him to keep the world in check. but of course they aren't going along with that. or something like that.
