Equipped with this wealth of knowledge and experience in the field, Arthur will be joining the CARE-Zambia’s ADAPT project (Agro-dealer project) in January, 2010. ADAPT is a 3-year project aimed at increasing rural access to affordable agricultural inputs through a network of input agro-dealers and distributors in 3 different provinces of Zambia. CARE aims to adopt a market facilitation approach which will require new organizational capacities and management approaches. To assist with developing these capacities, Arthur will be supporting the ADAPT team in two major management capacity building areas: the development of an implementation-level monitoring and evaluation system in order to gather relevant information and thus support improved decision making for day-to-day management; and offering on-going support to upgrade staff skills as market facilitators in the form of business training.
