Diffusion (contrived)

Nature tends toward disorder and works against homogenization. When a few drops of food coloring are placed in a still glass of water, the random motion of molecules, known as Brownian Motion, tends to move the dye molecules from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration. The photo shows the glass just a few moments after the drops were added, illustrating their dispersal.
