Concrete bricks
This momumental building, former head office of the Rotterdamsche Cementsteen Fabriek ("Rotterdam Concrete Brick Co.") was build in 1898, and can be found in the southern part of Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is the last building standing on this former factory terrain (now a park). Although it is a listed building, it has been neglected for years and is still awaiting renovation. The unique facade ornaments and large parts of the building are made of concrete, making it one of the first houses in the Netherlands using this material extensively.
