Tar Pits
A mastadon, separated from its herd, has become entrapped in the tar pits. Unable to get free, his cries for help only draw attention from the nearby predators including the saber tooth cat and dire wolves. A condor circles above waiting for what ever is left.
This diorama is modeled after the La Brea Tar Pits. It is known as a predator trap as they would be drawn by the dying prey and end up stuck themselves.
