Perhaps one of the more bizarre workings on the revised route 16 are the handful that start from Collins Avenue west in the morning peak?
These services depart from Collins Avenue west and head in an easterly direction, turn left into Beaumont Road,Shantalla Road and complete the loop by a left hand turn just before the N1 flyover and onto the Swords Road. Given the tendency of the traffic in the Beaumont as generally heavy, it is highly likely that services will meet route 16 departures from Shanard & Dublin airport on that stretch and wind up travelling in the complete opposite direction within the same loop !!!.
