With the AN124 having arrived earlier in the morning naturally with a crew out of hours, unloading could not begin until they had rested. The loadmaster was a pivotal member and as part of the crew the process cold not begin without him.
After much ground work had been done during the day by both A.L.E and Irish Rail the process of extracting the locomotive from the cavenorus AN124 begun in earnest once he had returned.
Shortly before 23.00 on the chilly evening of June 9th 1994 201 was hauled out of the hold and positioned onto the prepared tracks
