The Day of the Daleks
A variety of Daleks at the Dr Who Experience in Cardiff Bay. The brown one (centre left) has the basic Dalek shape while others have variations seen in later programmes. The Daleks were created by writer Terry Nation and designed by Raymond Cusick and appeared in the second Dr Who serial back in 1963. They were the enemies in the two Dr Who movies in the 1960's starring Peter Cushing and are surely the most recognisable aliens on British television.
