Installing the New 'Bay Lights'

While shooting a "Why Not?" type shot of the Ferry Building's '1915' lights, I took notice of three workers ardently moving up and down the Bay Bridge's suspension cables in baskets. After it became clear that they were installing the new Bay Lights (soon to be officially on when this was taken), I thought I'd see what it looked like in a long exposure.

And, here you go.

I am sure these new LED lights are brighter than the old ones. They also must be in a different configuration along the strands because of how they make really pronounced individual starbursts. Even in this jpeg, I believe you can see that.

Anyway, thanks for checking out this shot! And is it just me, or did Flickr change the way stats are counted again?
