Restful time of solitude
DAY 5 - JOSHUA TREES AT SUNRISE
Joshua Trees at sunrise
Morning arrived at the desert. Without a single speck of clouds, however, the sunrise wasn’t just as exciting as I hoped it to be. So, I just focused on the trees and the rocks in the foreground since light itself was wonderful.
After breakfast, I started packing up to leave. Such a restful time of solitude, in the company of nothing but the star strewn clear night skies, came to an end, and it was time to head back to civilization.
However, I had a couple of spare days, and I was going to stop by and check out Mormon Rocks since it was on my way back. Always fascinated by the unique rock formations, I had told myself numerous times that I would stop by but never had, and I was doing it this time for real.
The air was getting dry as the sun rose higher. The cool temperature dissipated as the sky was restored with its blue hue. I looked around the camp one last time to make sure that I was leaving it as I had found it. Then, I left.
