Reassuringly secluding anyone in it

The trail led us from Sunset Point was Navajo Loop Trail whose first sandstone switchbacks are iconic. It was one of the imageries always popping into my head upon thinking of Bryce Canyon. Stuck in a space like an echo chamber, its acoustics were fascinating and the hoodoos walls were reassuringly secluding anyone in it. The spiraling down switchbacks to the crevice was an enchanted passage used by Paiute Indians for over 800 years, if not more.
